Dear Friends:
We are excited to share some impressive milestones that have been reached over the past few weeks here at the CJF. We are proud to have sent an unprecedented 170 students on Service Learning Missions over Winter Break, spanning three continents and five countries. We have seen time and again, that the more opportunities students have to see and experience how they can be agents of change, the better the chance they will recognize their capacity to assume positions of professional and communal leadership in the future. We look forward to seeing great things from these students and the many others who participate in all of our different leadership programs.
We are also delighted to share that YUConnects has now played a significant role in helping more than 100 young men and women find their marriage partner. As we continue with all our important events and matchmaking efforts, we are equally excited about the educational efforts that we hope to continue to bring to the program.
And we continue to take pride in our Shabbat Table Discussion series that is growing in distribution and readership. We hope that you and your family are enjoying these discussion guides and using them to enrich your Shabbat Table conversations.

Best wishes,
Suzy Schwartz
Assistant Dean, Center for the Jewish Future (CJF), Yeshiva University

The result was YUConnects, a program that matched Yeshiva University students and alumni from an extensive online database.

A Closer Look at the Israel Mission "A Place Called Home": Inspiring Students
A Place Called HomeTo be a Jew in the Diaspora is to struggle with dual loyalties. On the one hand, Jews have established homes for themselves in countries where they feel a sense of purpose and belonging. Yet they also recognize Israel as the Jewish homeland. The students of Yeshiva University face an existential dilemma. Should they build a home in Israel, their ideological birthplace, or live and build community in the Diaspora?
